Better by design
I was recently in awe of the engineering and efficiency of a portable espresso press that I’ve owned for multiple years, and had yet to fully try or include in my coffee routine.
We had purchased the AeroPress years ago after multiple recommendations, yet it took a recent mention on the Tim Ferriss Podcast for me to take the time to include the machine on our recent cabin outing.
The collection of parts, which had initially given me the illusion of a cleaning nightmare, turned out to actually be the easiest espresso clean-up I’ve ever had.
Karina and I laughed out loud after creating a perfect cup of espresso in record time (~one minute), then ejecting a perfectly tidy puck of grounds, with almost no clean up required…
A true marvel of engineering.
I was slightly disappointed that I had not incorporated this device into my routine sooner. ‘When the student is ready’, I suppose.
I believe the world is brimming with new products, technologies and design improvements just waiting to be introduced to you. Some you’ve heard about and not tried, others have not even reached your circles of influence yet.
Keep your ears open, and don’t be afraid to break out of your routine. Experimentation is the spice of life, especially when it only costs fifty dollars.
Now that’s a peak ethos.
