No Complaints

“They treat me so well here. They even tell me that I’m their favorite patient”. Gramps informed me during my first visit to his new assisted living placement.
“Their favorite?” I asked him “Why?”
“Because I don’t complain.” Gramps stated matter of factly, “so many people here are constantly complaining”.
Apparently something we’ve all known since childhood, gets even more true with age.
Nobody likes a complainer.
Complaining sucks energy, sabotages the moods of those around you, and generally makes the world a worse place.
It would be wise to take Gramp’s advice and stop complaining.
Who knows, you might even end up likeable.
Now that’s a peak ethos.
