Stop postponing

James Clear has the greatest digital newsletter ever.
His weekly 3-2-1 is often so profound that I am always baffled that he is able to find so many ‘gems’ of wisdom, so consistently.
While reading his January 1, 2026 insights, amazing as usual, the final question got me thinking.
“If you met your 80 year old self today, what would they beg you to stop postponing?”
Although I have a pretty ‘dialed-in life’, there are a few things I will make space for in 2026.
BJJ rolls three times per week.
Laughing out loud multiple times a day, and proximity to where this might happen.
Flying an aircraft off my farm.
Stop worrying about what other people think, especially when they have lives not worth emulating.
Have AI complete the boring tasks, to leave more space for the fun stuff.
Building more lego.
Read more books.
Work on the creative projects: The tiny home, the sauna, the bike build.
Remove the clutter: sell, donate or dump, all that does not bring joy.
No time like the ‘now’.
Now that’s a peak ethos.
