Good Morning, Chatty Cathy
The best way to stay energized and motivated during a morning workout is NOT to have two children talk incessantly ‘at’ you. They kindly pause the babble during actual lifting, only to immediately resume the cadence and storyline the second the weights hit the floor.
This is the reality of my morning strength training sessions.
When I get the urge to have these ladies vacate the area, and leave me alone to focus on training, I never am quite willing to shoo them off.
It is my reflection on how short this period of my life will be, and how badly my 80 year old self will be longing for sweet attention.
Today I will cherish it, enjoy the distracting company, and be thankful for two amazing healthy girls.
Now that’s a peak ethos.
