Curiosity
Hazel has been obsessed about looking at open wounds, insects, and many other disgusting things since receiving a microscope for her birthday, and it is a lesson in unfettered curiosity.
The sheer excitement of discovery is evidenced by the countless minutes of silent observation punctuated by exclamations of “Dad! You have to see this!”
I want to be in the proximity of curious people. The celebrations of new learning and the endless barrage of questions seeking to solve the next problem are intoxicating.
Curious people are more interesting, fun to be around, and make our world better.
Now that’s a peak ethos.
