Building a better rocket

While learning about compressed air in Grade 5 this week, we added an ‘ad-lib’ rocket-building experiment with some materials that we had around our science room.

Quite simple: 30 minutes, tin foil, tape, and a syringe.

Design, test, iterate…repeat.

10 years from now, students likely won't recall the definition of matter,

but there is a high likelihood that they may recall the feeling of excitement while competing to hit the ceiling tiles with a hand made rocket.

The world needs more people thinking like scientists.

The ones who get excited about solving problems that will make the world better, and who know that the process of discovery will never end.

Engage your curiosity. Challenge complacency and the status quo.

Hypothesize, test and repeat.
