School picture time came around last week and I have to admit that my girls had their best showing ever.

Beautiful outfits,

Gorgeous smiles,

Magazine perfection.

Yet, I will confess that these pictures were not my favourite pictures ever.

My favourite pictures are always the ones that lack perfection and have some critical failing that can’t help but make you laugh.

As you will see below there is a particular picture taken from Hazel’s preschool year that will always bring a smile to my face, no matter my mood.

Perfection and joy are rarely the same thing.
